Privacy Policy

What this policy covers
This policy explains how Invoice Genie collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use our mobile application and related services.
Information we collect
- Account and contact information: your name, email address, sign-in identifiers, and authentication method.
- Business and client information: business names, addresses, logos, and client names, addresses, and email addresses that you choose to enter.
- Invoice and other financial records: descriptions of work, quantities, rates, tax, totals, currency, dates, notes, and Draft, Sent, Paid, or Overdue statuses. These statuses are records you update; Invoice Genie does not verify client payments.
- Subscription information: purchase tokens, product identifiers, and subscription or entitlement status supplied by Apple or Google. We do not receive your App Store or Google Play payment-card details.
- Device and diagnostic information: push tokens when you enable notifications, app version, platform, error messages, stack traces, bounded interaction breadcrumbs, request security information, and service logs needed to operate and protect the service. Diagnostic reports are designed to redact email addresses, passwords, authentication tokens, and push tokens.
Payment information not collected in this version
The current version of Invoice Genie does not ask for or store bank account numbers, payment-card numbers, sort codes, or other client-payment credentials. It does not connect to bank accounts, process payments, hold funds, provide credit, or transmit money. Invoice totals and payment statuses remain financial records and are collected only to create and organise the invoices you request.
How we use information
We use your information to provide invoice features, authenticate your account, sync your data, generate documents, track the statuses you record, verify subscription entitlements, deliver requested reminders, prevent abuse, diagnose faults, provide support, and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information or use it for third-party advertising.
Sharing and processors
Information may be handled by hosting, database, email delivery, push notification, diagnostics, authentication, and app-store subscription providers acting on our behalf. An invoice leaves Invoice Genie for Mail, WhatsApp, Drive, Files, or another destination only when you choose that destination through your device's share sheet. We may also disclose information where legally required or to protect users, the service, or the public.
Retention and deletion
We retain account data while your account is active and as reasonably necessary for security, legal, and operational purposes. You can permanently delete your account from the Profile screen or request deletion through Support. Deletion removes your business profile, saved clients, invoices, device registrations, and queued communications. Limited non-content records may be retained where required by law, to prevent fraud, or to support purchase restoration without retaining deleted invoice or contact content.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, restrict, or delete personal information. You may also withdraw consent where consent is the legal basis for processing. You can edit business and client information in the app, delete your account from the Profile screen, disable push notifications in device settings, or contact Support about a privacy request.
Security and international processing
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, but no system can guarantee absolute security. Your information may be processed in countries where our service providers operate, subject to appropriate safeguards where required.
Contact and updates
For questions or privacy requests, use the Invoice Genie support contact published in the App Store or Google Play listing. We may update this policy as the service changes and will revise the date shown above.
